Have a 1993 Honda Accord. Recently, one night I noticed a flashing red light the size of the point of a pen at the base of the shifter (between the shifter and the e-brake). There is no label next to it and I can not find out what this light does. This light ONLY comes on when the headlights are on; parking lights it remains off. In addition, there is a tick-tock sound coming from somewhere under the driver side dash when the headlights are on.

I have checked all lights, and everything is working fine. The car runs fine, but I would like to know what is happening. It must be trying to tell me something.

 

its not stock afaik. you will probably have to trace some wiring and figure it out.
