Default koni str-t vs skunk2 sport ?

hi, i'm planing to improve the shock on my 97 cl and i was wondering which one of these do you recomand to me ? i know about the koni yellow, but they are out of my budget and i don't think i need them since it's my daily ride. so any comment or opinions ? or real stories are always better. thanks.

Depends on how much of a drop you want. Some ppl neglect the fact that certain shocks can only handle so much of a drop. According to Koni, the str.t shock can handle up to a 1.5" drop, tokico blue 1.75" (supposedly) and KYB AGX 1.3" which is pretty weak for an adjustable shock. I wouldn't go with skunk 2 when it comes to suspension. I was on a budget too, so I got koni str.t's with the eibach pro kit. Mild drop and performs much better then stock. Polyurethane spring isolators make the ride less harsh, and it wouldn't hurt to get some polyurethane stabilizer bar bushings and end links too.

You're welcome. No I haven't had a chance to try those yet, I'm sure someone else here has. I was originally going to get blue's, but I heard they have poor customer service and warranty. Do a bit of research. Obviously if someone puts springs that give a 2.0"+ drop on shocks meant for less, they will fail eventually. So you're bound to see some trashing due to that persons ineptitude.

they are great shocks for the price. not the mos aggressive for handling but work well with mild drops or softer springs. if you want to drop more than an inch or so i would get extended top hats which will smooth the ride out more.
