let me welcome you to the Prelude forum, but please, use the search button, someone actually asked this question TODAY. my suggestion may be somewhat biased, but i am partial to the 97-01 Preludes. you can probably pick up a 97 or 98 for around $10k. this being your first car though, please, be careful, they are very powerful. if i were you, i'd buy a 97-98 lude and then use the extra money to buy what you wnat for it, whether it be a body kit, or a turbo kit, the choice is yours.
the main reason i suggest a 5th gen Prelude is b/c the performance parts for them are becoming more and more. when i first bought mine, i couldn't find **** for it, but now, parts are everywhere. i've not looked a lot for 4th gen parts, but i do know that some of the bigger names do not manufacture many product for them (jackson racing, GReddy, and i think wings west discontinued their kits for them, but i could be wrong)

hahaha..... i've only got one question for you then, what took you so long to get him to join?
, i have only been registered since the spring..but man!!! have I gained experience and knowledge! i start off installing my own CAI, to removing my AC, installing a zex kit, and autometer pillar gauges, and the whole bit......without EVER wrenching on a car before
(not to mention a couple AFC/RSM installs too! so good ol' ECU wiring work)
