to get a 2" drop from the front of your civci there is a trick, just get front struts from a 90-93 teg with stock coil and put your civic bottom fork on and install them, the integra struts are shorter with a longer fork so when you install your civic fork it lowers the car roughly 2", the rears are kinda the oposite so dont use them from a older teg

Don't know anything about an '88 but my guess is your bushings are binding.

Can this be a problem? for some reason, when i installed the rears, i didnt need to use the spring compressor....now do they need to be compressed? or that doesnt matter?

As in you needed to compress the old ebays off and then didn't need to compress your lowering springs to fit them? If so theres definitely a problem

With drop springs they are alittle shorter than stock, so yes you can install them without a compressor, I just did this last week and yes you need to drive and let them settle

If your "springs" settle, they're already broken.

If the suspension settles, then you failed to clock the bushings (mandatory procedure for any ride height changes), the settling is the bushings stretching/tearing to orient themselves to the new position, and you've already ruined them.
