Default Ej8 h22 tranny question

So ive decided to ditch the f20b swap and go for the h22 instead, but what im wondering is if there are any hydralic tranny's you can run that would eliminate the need for shifter cables and the cutting etc? It seems like from what ive read is that the m2b4 if im not mistaken is hydralic. Would that eliminate the need for shifter cables and cutting? Please help steer me in the right direction here as im confused about this part of the swap.

The M2B4 is just like all the other prelude/ accord trannies, and uses cables.

All H series transmissions are hydraulic (for the clutch), Its the shifting mechanism that uses cables. M2B4 is an H22 LSD transmission but still uses cables to shift.

I have never had a problem with shifting an H22 transmission. as long as the cables are routed correctly its always worked fine for me.

An alternative is going H2B. H22A engine with B series transmission. This allows you to use the solid shifting "Rods" instead of the cables. Look up quartersportsdrag.com for the kit. also allows for a variety of gear ratios since B series trans have many options in Final drive, etc.

Good luck.
