2 step problem
So when I bought my car I didn't know it was equipped with a 2 step setup because it wasn't running right. Well now it is and and the 2 step seems to be kicking in when I am driving. What I am wondering is, is there anyway to shut the damn thing off or remove it, or something.
It is a 1990 Civic sedan with a 1999 D16Y8 swap running a p28 ecu obd0-0bd1. That is all i pretty much know about it.

are you throwing any codes? on my ecu the 2 step is ran off of signal from the VSS. which on a stock civic/crx is in the gauge cluster. my car would do this when i broke my vss. do you know what the car is chipped/tuned with? im on crome
is your speedo working? the two step works off the vss so if the vss isnt reading correctly the ecu is thinking the car is in fact under the speed limit its set for. so make sure your vss is working properly and check your connections to your vss and make sure everything is working properly.
So, I swapped my gauges earlier along with electronic vss instead of cable, and it seems to have solved the problem. Going to do a little more testing to check.
