You need to use a d16y7 or y8 cam gear.

The lift on a b2 cam and an a6 has been argued to be the same or very very close to the same. the lift on a b2 cam from an auto trans car actually has more lift than even the si cam on the exhaust side.

theres actually a little evidence from the FSM. so it seems an auto dx cam from a d15b2 would be better than the a6 cam and you might not have to change cam gears.

So the cam out of an auto b2 would be the better bet?

seems so. id keep reading to confirm. just reasearch the specs on the b2, b2 auto, and a6 cams.

the b2 cam on the exhaust side has 0.003 mm more lift. thats not going to be worth anything in power.
the HF cam is the one that has the most lift, that is the d15b6 cam, and it is only from a 5 spd, and it is also in an 8 valve head, not a 16 valve head.
