Default rear seat latch

i have a problem with my rear seat latch it wont lock after my friend put my audio system in my car we werent able to lock the rear seats... we hit the back seat to lock and even slammed it but nothing. does anyone who how to fix that?????????

maybe the lock is stuck open? toss some wd40 in there and see if it releases

Default

Try sticking your key in the hole on the rear deck and locking/unlocking it a few times if the WD-40 doesn't work.

i tried the locking it but the key wont turn at all so idk if the mechanism got fucked up

If you pull on the handle - what happens? Can you feel it move.

Did your friend mount the amp on the back seat, too low that it won't shut fully?

when i pull the handle it does the latch does move but when i put the seat back up it doesnt lock

no he mounted the amp in the middle of the back seat and also an epicenter

Hey, I have the same problem in my 07 Accord, after I got car audio work done too. There is nothing that would be blocking the latch though, not sure what's going on, did you ever fix it?
