Default d16a6 throttle connection help

1990 crx si with rebuilt d16a6
Finished rebuilding the engine this summer, fixed a few cooling issues and finally drove the car, but this connection on the throttle keeps popping off on me. In the picture its the small opening with a small metal rod that is supposed to stay put inside the hole.

I went to my local Honda dealership today and asked the parts guy. It looks like I cant get new parts for it because Honda no longer sells them. He said he didn't know what to do about it and that I should possibly put a zip-tie on it.. Ive actually tried that since, but its not going to hold well so I'm looking for a proper fix.

Here's a picture I found of one that looks like its working properly (Staying put):

So I guess I need to find out where I can buy a new clip or something?

Thanks

I was just looking at the skunk2 throttle bodies. I don't know if I need 68 or 70mm though?

I was thinking about a skunk2 Alpha series if i'm just going to replace the entire thing. Does anyone know what this thing is on top of the stock TB though?

just delete the vacum diaphram, its a useless part. and buy some vac line caps to cap the opening on the intake manifold.

really, its completely useless? Ill give it a go and tear it off there. I was just about to order an entire new TB anyway so its worth a shot, as long it doesn't damage anything.

I recently swapped a sohc zc which is basically a d16a6 like yours... and it never even had that vacuum diaphragm stock. I'm sure you'll be fine without it.
