H22a4 SH swapped to H22a1. Issues.... but can be done.
Alright, so I have a 98 Sh that I trashed. I got a AERP Sleeved H22a1 block off a guy real cheap, so I decided to use it for my build. (aside from all other Obvious reasons) But anyway. I have dealt with the crank/journal size issue, oil pan and pickup issue, ATTS issue, and now I am on the final stretch. The hold up is with the freakin' sensors. I have a APEXi Power FC stand alone and am trying to figure out a way to make my wiring harness work with the different sensors.
My question is this. Is it possible to use my h22a4 SH wiring harness and knock sensor on the H22a1 block. Are sensors the same diameter and thread? If so, I should be able to use my a4 harness and knock sensor on the block with minor if no wiring mods, yea? If not, is the H22a1 knock sensor a smaller diameter? If it is I can machine and thread for free. Let me know what you guys think.

Nice, let me know. I just replaced the KS in my SH before it blew. I really want to use it. Mechanically speaking, the sensors should function the same way right? I just hope the issue is simply the the round to square styes. I really do not want to deal with swapping out wiring harnesses. Plus I am trying to hash out what problems I am going to run into with other sensors and sensor locations. I saw a thread where someone had done this block swap a while back, I just can't seem to find it.
