Hi guys,
I'm having some problems with my EP3. I dont really know how to describe it, but its almost like I have a "soft limiter". Foot to the floor results in a "redline" of about 5500 rpm. I pulled the codes and they're: P1121, P0420, which leads me to believe the TPS is at fault, but I just replaced it a few months ago. Can anyone recommend a TPS that wont crap out on me in another 3 months?

i HIGHLY suggest sticking with an OEM tps...with that said it's not as easy to find because it's "built on" to the throttle body according to the dealership so you need to find a used one someone took off or buy another throttle body with one on it.

With those CELs it's obvious you can't go past 5500rpm it's for your engines safety.

 

It ran fine until I took it to the shop to get my Megan racing shorty header welded up(it was cracked all the way around at the cat end of the exhaust) I guess I'll have to check the local junk yards. If memory serves me I had a bwr tps on there. Just for future refernece, IF I do find a stock one, it should be .49 volts closed and 4.5 WOT, right? or was it 5.0 WOT? I had fiddled with calibration so I was reading 4.97 at WOT and it ran at the natural rev line when I floored it, but then cut out again and threw the CEL 112x again, which makes me believe TPS; also it'll go to 7k in neutral, about 6500 in first and tops out at about 5500 in second... I don't know just kind of thinking out loud, lol.
