I have a 98 Accord UVEX that just started having some problems wherein it has started to chug or jerk quickly several times and it seems to be happening at the time the transmission is trying to change gears. But it only happens AFTER I have been driving it a while during the day. Never when I start it cold. If I let up on the accelerator when it occurs, it often will stop until the next gear change occurs, but sometimes it will do it for quite some time (30-60 seconds). Oh, and the check light came on, too.

The car has about 200,000 miles on it. I don't know the history of the car as I have only owned it for about 4 months.

I am not a car person (except for old Beetles), but am interested in knowing whether this is a fuel line problem or a transmission problem. I suspect the latter, but am not sure. I would like some idea of what it could be before I go to the mechanic. I'm also not sure if it is going to end up being worth a repair.
