Just need a straight answer! please no going off explaining why I must buy eagle rods, blah blah blah. I've searched and that is all that has came up in the previous threads. If it does work, can someone with a good amount of knowledge explain the process of this to me. Help is more than appreciated HT!

i honestly don't see the point though, stock rods will fail before the pistons do... so you still have a weak link.
^^ If you're only looking to push slightly beyond the limit of the stock piston ringlands, its a good, cost-effective solution, but having said that, a set of Eagle rods is only like $300...

Excellent video!!! You can also use a toaster oven for the DIY guys to heat the rods up.
The stock rod bolts are the weakest link IMHO and some ARP's will be well worth it if your going to stay w/the stock rods....but I have to agree w/the others. do it all right to begin with. A set of rods is far cheaper than a new block & crank when one lets go.

Cis CHS in WakeForest has modified plenty of stock rods for me. For some reason Ive had a lot of customers going this route lately. He charges me differently every time. Its always between 30 and 50 bucks to do all 4

really? forgot about all about CHS, asked THoff they said call Wiseco, called the rep at wiseco she said the oem wrist pins and aftermarket off shelf wrist pins are the same size but sounded unsure:/ I just needed a concrete answer before I order some. Only reason i'm going this route James is because I don't wanna have to run E85 on my car again. No company like Nippon makes 84mm or 84.5mm cast replacement pistons. RS Machines B20 pistons are too high compression so only choice I have is a forged piston to get a 10:5.1 ratio I want. You might see my car again soon.
