Default j32 civic turbo

okay a quick question with the turbo manifold. i own a 94 civic with a j32a2 in it and i plan to boost it. question is, does it matter with the length of each manifold to the turbo? like if my rear manifold was a shorter distance to my turbo then the front manifold, will this cause any issues with the turbo and the operation?
