Its not? So wouldnt that mess up your shocks then?

Thanks for the info. I'm gettin my coilovers this weekend and need to install it myself so I guess I wont be needing the dust cover. Thanks!

You should actually keep part of the dust cover. Depends on the kit, but I'd suggest you use a dremel and cut about 1 and 1/2 inches down from the top so there is just a little bit, like a hat. This way if the suspension ever expands all the way, which is unlikely, the spring will find it's way back in place instead of getting crooked. That's just my suggestion, but certainly keep a portion of the bump stop.
If you look at the picture you took I'd cut a bit above where the scratches can be seen. A hack saw could work to.
