weird issue(s) with ls vtec after swap

Default weird issue(s) with ls vtec after swap

ok so i have a 96 teg that i was running a stock obd1 ls that had the ckp trick done at the ecu wires(no crank sensor) and i decided to swap my gsr head on the car. well, after i did that i ended up thinking i messed up something because the car wouldnt start. it ended up being the 3 bar map sensor i had on the intake manifold. so i swapped the stock map sensor back on the car, and i used my p28 with neptune rtp and a jumper to try and start the car...no dice. i went back and used the p75(obd2) i had on the car originally and the car fired up automatically. my issue as of right now is the car idles WAYY too high. it has stock injectors, fuel rail, and it also has an edelbrock 70mm throttle body and port matched edelbrock victor x manifold, as well as a throttle spacer plate. the car idles at 2k until i cover one of the barb fittings on the back of the manifold and i also cover the hole on the inside of the throttle body that leads to the iacv. then the car idles at 1k. i do not have a throttle body gasket on the manifold currently because i was originally trying to just get the dam thing started. what would i do in this situation??
