CEL 7 & 17 but speedometer is funtioning
91 si w/a z6, converted to obd1. getting codes 7 & 17 but my speedometer is reading on cluster.
i replaced the intake mani and TB in and attempt to get rid of code 7 and upgrade from the a6 intake mainifold. came from a running z6.
still receiving both codes.
running a p28 ecu.
any ideas?

Have you tried Resetting?
I never did it but im pretty sure you have to calibrate TPS
Your Vehicle speed on cluster is driven by cable the code your getting is the Electronic one that is in tranny and goes to ECU

yeah i've tried ressetting the ecu
i thought you only have to calibrate the TPS if it is replaced or removed
which sensor is this? i'm using the stock ef si cable tranny. it was my understanding that the ecu gets its speed info from the cluster itself.

I have a similar issue, but just getting code 17. I'm using the L3 transmission and I believe the clip which holds the cable in the gear mechanism is not securely keeping the cable in place. Intermittently the cable may be floating up out of the gear in the trans a little, especially under quick acceleration. My speedo is working, too. The L3 has no electronic sensor just gears. The sensor is behind the speedometer. I hope to get a fresh clip and see if that helps.
