installed Kenji p28 ecu and threw 2 codes?
uhh, before when i was running the regular p73 ecu.. i was only throwing a knock code.
so i opted for a p28 to get rid of the knock sensor period..
now its throwing 21 and 22, which is:
VTEC Solenoid Valve defective circuit or unplugged / defective solenoid valve
* invalid code for non-VTEC engine
** invalid for V6 engine
VTEC Oil Pressure Switch defective circuit or unplugged / defective oil pressure switch
* invalid code for non-VTEC engine
any help?

Why wouldn't you contact Kenji before telling to world you have a problem. Give the guy a chance to fix it before you start asking questions.
Give Kenji a call !

i already did, and i'm didn't blame Kenji at all..
so start READING before you assume
i was wondering if maybe I did something wrong.. or there was something i was unaware of while converting from obd2 -> obd1.
Kenji already replied and told me to send it back to him and he'll take a look at it and try to get this resolved ASAP

what program does kenji use?
I dont buy the jdm vtec solenoid. Its the same as usdm as far as the wiring goes, just look in a helms. I have a jdm b18c and no codes w/ a katman chipped p28. Its a knockoff mugen program, thats why I asked what kenji uses. The only varible being im obd1 all the way around.

most likely in your obd2 --> obd1 harness. i ran a p73 ecu in my ek with my b18c5 with no codes, then installed a chipped p28 with a home-made obd2 --> obd1 harness and had no problems.
ok, now Crescent from c-speed says it could be due to my JDM Vtec solenoid?
So there is one code explained. The other code is still probably in
the wiring somewhere.
Euro ITR don´t have the oil pressure switch in the VTEC solenoide assy.
You have make a custom harness for your car, you´ll need to connect the pressure switch wire in the back of the block to the oil pressure switch in the ECU.

Thanks sgt for clearing up the fact that the JDM VTEC solenoid does not have a VTEC pressure switch. This would lead to a code 22.
As for the code 21, I seriously doubt it is in my harness. I checked it three times before I sent it out.
I was not aware of the fact that Jonas was running a JDM VTEC solenoid. So, when he emailed me stating he is throwing codes I was GREATLY concerned.
I have read about, but have not tried, the little 'fix' for USDM ECUs using a JDM VTEC solenoid. I read in a previous post that you can connect the VTEC PS and VTEC solenoid wires with a jumper and that will solve the problem associated with the JDM VTEC solenoid not having a pressure switch. Does anybody know if this is true from experience?
Jonas, don't worry. I will solve this problem for you. Thanks for your patience.

AzN_Flava,
Email me for information regarding chipping your ECU. I don't want to turn this post into an advertisement. Thanks.
