whats goin on on guys I've been a member on here for awhile and I've always wanted to do a good build thread and post up my progress! its somewhat a build i guess cause I'm not posting how i do the work just the added parts and the outcome shots. well a quick story i had a few hondas and about six months ago i sold my ek coupe and decided to get out of the game i bought a newer car and then a few months later i got the urge again so i searched and picked up a nice type r! its mostly my Sunday Funday car and to drive for enjoyment. i want to put it in shows and take it around the course once its all completed! well anyways enjoy the pics!

new OEM visors i that came in.


just got in my new mugen steering wheel about two weeks ago from todays date.

I forgot to take pics of the OEM optional side skirts and rear valances they were red when i bought them so i had them painted and how the car sits now.


And just picked these up yesterday and gave them a good cleaning!! 9/7


10/1 :A rare piece ive loved ever since i layed eyes on has arrived today yea im moving foward with my mugen theme. real deal im almost sure they dont even have fakes!

10/8 another rare authentic piece a few people out there dont like the mugen gen 2 but ive always been a fan and seeing as i will eventually use this for the curcuit it was a must have to get a big wing will be taking it to paint sometime this week!




10/10 A little teaser of what it looks like on.


10/11 took her out today and i have to say i love how the wing looks on its loud especially being yellow.




11/10 some shots from the times square takeover it was a dope meet more then 200+ cars all times.





12/18 finally picked up the mugen twin loop! Found it for a real good price cant wait to put this piece on and hear it!





01/12/13 decided to go with the jdm front end and picked one up with the oem hids! Definetly cant wait to start prepping it and put it on.



1/22/13 how it sits now just need to connect the lights and off to paint!



2/5/13 another pic if how its sitting took it out to get some stuff done last week just waiting on paint got alot of other things goin on at the moment but dying to have her not looking like a peeled back banana lol!



3/4/13 while the car is in paint hopefully out tomorrow, another shipment came its a small update i pay alot of attention to detail so had to get these new oem badges oem center caps and oem decals that came on jdm type r's



3/5/13 finally got her back home! The paint job came out good and just have to put the new caps and emblems on i have to say i was getting worried about me changing the front end but i fell in love with the R all over again after seeing her! I will take more and better pics!






3/25/13 a small update my new password jdm kevlar intake came in i like the look ill be using it as a everyday intake but will be switching it up to something more different maybe a mugen or arc when i put the car into shows.



4/10/13 another package came in i know its not mugen but got better feed back on these and why not mix a little im always down for a little SPOONing! Well i finally conpleted my kitchen set!





4/21 a few shots from the uconn show with the calipers on and next to a friends itr reminds me of when i first got her.







8/29 i havent updated this in awhile i found myself in a bad place in life a few months back and was going to sell my itr so i sold my mugen gen 2 wing and my spoon calipers after months of getting myself back together and hating myself for selling my stuff i started up my build again!
Heres how the car sits now.



After searching day and night i found another mugen gen 2 wing even more mint then my first one was and prob one of the most rarest sought after mugen steering wheel the fg360! Always loved this thing!





How the cockpit looks now car is real dirty sorry guys.

Thanks man, im deciding on whats my next step i just purchaed the car the ending of june this year so i think im giving myself maybe another year and a half to fully complete her

 

Looks nice. Any plans on getting front JDM conversion?

 

Im undecided yet if i do ill probably do it towards the end of the build. The only reason id really consider it is the other bumper options i would have which is a good handfull!

Lol yea i was the same way and now im just happy i own one and get to build it exactly as i envisioned it. And hopefully past it on to a family member. Btw your gsr is pretty sick!
