need wire diagram pinout - 79 accord hatch
hoping someone here has a copy of the wiring diagram for the guage cluster for a 79 accord hatch w/ auto tranny.. retro-fitting it into my ef, and a diagram would greatly speed up the process. spent the last few hours fitting it in there, now just need to get the wiring done.
fingers crossed, thanks in advance..

this is AWESOME! you are my hero right now.. lol
you don't happen to have anything for the automatic's gear indicator display do you? i have a manual, but i'd like to be able to trigger the display to do something other than just sit there dead.

That's a cool project! Post pics and vids when you get it done!
It would be cool to change the gear indicator from PRND to 12345R, etc. Maybe even just D for gears 3 and up, and 1 and 2 could be the rest, while P is when your e-brake is on.
Would be better to be able to change the letters, but I dunno how that's gonna be possible.

getting them to show gear in my manual might be a bit tough.. lol. i want to do reverse for sure, maybe p for parked (parking brake set) and then have it otherwise just stay on d. i dunno tho.. still got a lot of work to do to get the important bits working properly. lol
as for pics, i've got one of it sitting in there (after quite a few hours of modding the cluster and the shroud)

i also rebuilt my center vent to hold the accord's analog clock. saw it at the wrecking yard and that sparked my idea for the retrofits.

that one was pretty easy.. just sectioned the vent up, then rebuilt the rest with abs and a little bit of bondo
also trying to find myself a wood cvcc steering wheel to help complete the old school theme

Man that looks great! How do you plan on doing the warning/idiot lights? Haha you're basically doing the exact opposite of what I'm doing to my Accord LOL
Thinking or redoing the center vent again with the dummy lights above the clock.. or maybe build an overhead type for it. Haven't decided yet.

curious, how hot do the older cars usually run? got it wired up tonight, and from cold to running temp, the guage barely moves. hoping it's not bad, because the rest of it works great. the light is a bit brighter than i intended, but that's nothing that a dimmer **** can't fix
sorry for the blurry pic, but i snapped it real quick while driving to show it was working.

i've also got to run a few wires still, because of features my car doesn't have. have to tag individual door triggers, and then tap the lines for left and right brake lights. the lights are on now because the circuit is currently open (not connected) so it thinks the bulbs are bad
My brake lamp indicator is on practically all the time anyways! A lot of those units seem to go bad and just think that the lights are always out. Apparently they're very sensitive, even dirty grounds can cause that to trigger (I have yet to try cleaning my grounds).
The temp gauge in my car goes up to about half way before the thermostat opens, then once it's at operating temp, it drops back down to where the white line begins and never moves from there. Your temp sender probably has slightly different resistance from the older Accord ones.

that was my guess.. i mean it moves and all, just not much. when cold the needle is under the first line, after it warms up it moves about an 1/8" past it. wonder if i could swap the sender unit, or if that would cause issues at the ecu.. hmm
