Default Newbie question...

Hey guys im looking into buying my first car and i've been considering 92ish preludes. I want something that is decently quick that i can have fun with. I'm not on a huge budget here so i was wondering what kinda times prelude Si's put out with minor bolt ons. What kinda work would it take to be in the low 15's? Thanks a lot for bearing with me.

Basic bolt-ons should have you in low 15s, the condition of the car always matter if you go out and buy a 92 Prelude with 138123 miles it is not gonna perform as well, but it all depends on how the car was taken care of.

Basic bolt-ons should have you in low 14s, the condition of the car always matter if you go out and buy a 92 Prelude with 138123 miles it is not gonna perform as well, but it all depends on how the car was taken care of.
wtf are you smoking? there's no way of getting an Si to hit 14s with just bolt ons..... u'd need boost or nitrous for 14s.. or atleast a VERY good n/a configuration...

Agreed, especially for the H23 model Prelude (Si). If you were to find an H22 model or swap for this car, along with a nice list of bolt-ons, you could hit 14s pretty easy, as there are people on this board who have just hit 14s with an intake or just bone stock in a 4th Gen VTEC model (H22 model).

For the Si you will need a nice shot of nitrous or a well built (inside out) motor to be in the 14s, like Armharm said. Low 15s shouldn't be too hard to reach though, I just don't know exactly what'd you need, as I don't know a lot about the H23 aftermarket support.

When I had my old H23A1 in the bay with I/H/E, I could only get a 15.49x @88 MPH with 2.3xx 60' times. That was my best time ever with that engine. My average times were around 15.6xx
