Civic Sedan Special Edition?
I bought a 89 Civic from a 30 some year old man and he said it was a "Special Edition" I thought hes just an idiot but then i came across this...

Is there really a "Special Edition" of the 88-91 Civic LX ? And was it a USDM model?
If so, how could I tell if mine is one..?
my tittle doesn't say anywhere "SE" or "Special edition"

I could swear I've seen a SE civic hatch before though.
Apparently only 250 made, they're always silver too unless aftermarket paint.

I didnt know this, I ran across an ad on ebay a couple months back for special edition CRX taillights. I just figured someone slapped a sticker on there or something. Learned something new today!

This is an old thread but I thought I would put some light on some of these questions. In 1988 I purchased brand new a Honda Civic Special Edition. They were the first 800 cars made at the then brand new Alliston plant in Ontario Canada. My car was number 611 of the 800. The difference with them was they came with dual body colored mirrors, different bumper cover, chrome exhaust tip. ONLY white exterior with a blue stripe in the trim line. They had a center console and upgraded sound system. Oh the interior was an upgrade as well in blue only. They had silver full wheel covers on 13 inch rims. The Special Edition script was in the center between the tail lights. I eventually scrapped my car after 430k kilometers (267k miles) because I was moving to a smaller property and did not have the room. The rust did not help with keeping it either but the interior was perfect. For extra options I got AC, mud flaps and floor mats.
If anyone knows of one of these anywhere for sale I would really like to have one again. It must be an 88 though since that is the same year mine was. All I have left of mine is the dash cluster and the owners manual.

The blue interior you mentioned suggests it was a Sedan since this is what I recall seeing in Special Editions, but your mention of "centre console" is confusing. Do you mean the armrest or the lower front console? The Sedans I've seen have the armrest without the lower front console (as in stock like this, from the factory) but the Hatchbacks are vice-versa and with black interior.
As for finding one, Kijiji is your friend.
No I did not have a Sedan it was a hatchback. I mean the lower front console. Around and in front of the shifter. Ya Kijiji is usually my friend but seems like I just miss them or can't find one.
Oh that's right I do recall seeing a blue-interior special edition hatchback .... years ago somewhere on the web but never in person sadly.
It was the best car I have ever owned! 430k Kilometers with only 1100 bucks in repairs the entire time. I still had the original clutch in it but the big cost was the struts and the CV joints.
No mention if yours was a Hatchback or Sedan.
