Default 89 Civic LX Journal

Im new to Honda-tech. I owned a few cars, and build one. After driving for 6 years, I ended up with this. Bought it 8/30/12. Its got 164,800 miles, and after 2 accidents but for what it is, it runs excellent, & is pretty clean. Its gonna be my daily for the next 2 years as I stack some paper. Hopefully nothig breaks and if it does, ill be asking here for diagnostics n help.

Some future plans are, Tein S tech springs, Tints... that's it

I started plasti-dipping the window trim. going to the the whole trim (even the chrome bottom piece) around the whole car.. along with the molding

Hole in bumper, and this is the side that has a "sponge" holding the light from shaking -__- Also, could anyone tell me why the bumper sits so low?? may it bc of the accident? (u can see the bottom of lights)

Ill post pics after the springs n tints

As soon as i bought the car I wanted to do a 5 speed conversion, but I dont wanna spend too much money. Peicing parts together will cost me around $500-600, and i really would rather spend that on a new front / rear bumper coz of the minimal damage. i want this to be 100% clean and looking super stock (besides being lowered ) Ill see tho, if i have extra cash, ill start piecing together the conversion. Got all the info i need right here on HT

Thanks for all the compliments from everyone.

So an update for today, I got my S-tech Teins'. Ordered them from Ebay for 164.99 & free shipping ! cheapest website was 174.99 free shipping (robearracing.com)

I think i may do a write up on the install. Ill see.

I also touched up more of the window trim & got my rear molding, and windshield wipers plasti dipped. It cost 31.00 for 3 cans, tape, and a sanding foam thing from Lowes. 3 cans covered everything, i need a 4th can for the rear window trim, and front bumper molding. it came out really good. Ill post quality pics of the final product on springs.
for now:

Close up of the molding, I still have some peeling/edging to do

I also got a surprise item coming in too Heres a teaser for now:

Looing good with the minor drop. I'd paint the spoiler to match the car.

Cool car. I like what you did so far.
Wasn't the stock tow eye sufficient enough?
