Default T1R b pipe -> JDM or USDM cat?

Hi guys,

I'm thinking about getting a T1R b pipe for my dc2r as I would like to free the exhaust up a little more, but keep the OEM axleback.

My current setup is all OEM JDM : - JDM 4-1 headers -> JDM cat -> JDM b pipe -> JDM axleback.

My question is does the T1R b pipe bolt up the JDM length cat? Or is it designed to be a length that bolts to the longer USDM cat (i.e is shorter)?

Thanks

Thanks.

So you do need the usdm length cat. Damn. 2.5 in and out doesn't bother me because that works with the jdm cat. Just that length..

Spoon it is then I guess

well it depends what t1r b pipe you get, they do have the jdm length one which should make it a bolt on deal in your case

I'd recommend a custom exhaust. This is coming from someone who cut up their Spoon exhaust. I saw the light with a 3" exhaust and I'm still in the process of finishing it up. For $6-700 you can have just about the highest quality exhaust custom made if you know what you're doing from the header back.

Thanks for the advise guys.

I know the spoon isn't 2.5". I'm not too worried about this as I'm not chasing big power.

I currently look under my car and see a cat and 3 resonators and a heap of bottlenecks. The '98 spec JDM b pipe has an extra resonator over the AUDM (and I presume USDM) version to compensate for the 4-1 exhaust manifold it was originally specced with. I want to get rid of some of these and ideally a few bottlenecks, as I don't see the point. But at the same time I like the look and sound of the stock muffler.

Custom could definitely be the way to go, especially as the spoon stuff is so expensive. I'd love a similar setup to you Flew (just one res and a consistent length the whole way) just probably not 3" haha.
