Post a clear picture showing the wires (colors) in the sensor connector.

The nozzle on the IM is for the EVAP system.

CEL codes? ECU?

How are you running without that nozzle plugged? Doesn't your idle jump like crazy? O.o. That should go to PCV valve that is on crank box under the manifold.

Then post the number of wires in the connector and their colors (main color/stripe color).

Does the CEL work?

Block off that vacuum nozzle and then adjust the idle speed.

Post the wire colors of the sensor. It's probably the IAT sensor, but you need to make sure the connector matches with the sensor.

What car do you have?

The sensor connector has two solid red (no stripe) wires?

See FAQs sticky for idle adjustment diagram.

No stock sensor that I am aware of has two solid red wires, so somebody did their own wiring. The stock IAT sensor for your car should have Red/Yel and Grn/Wht wires.

1) You don't want unfiltered air sucking through a disconnected vacuum nozzle into your engine.

2) Somebody has the idle speed adjusted very low to compensate for the disconnected vacuum nozzle.

3) Plug the nozzle, open the idle screw so the engine will run, and then adjust the idle speed.

4) Figure out what sensor connector is attached to the free sensor. If it's the IAT sensor and connector, properly install the sensor.

Good point. I guess I meant in general to see whether there may be additional problems.

The two wires are probably because someone ran wiring for the IAT Because the Z6 doesn't have a spot for it on the intake manifold.

It looks like the charcoal canister purge solenoid.

Also, the connector plugged into the evap purge solenoid is for the IAT sensor however, it appears to be spliced onto some red wire some I'm not sure if it was just extended or if someone used an IAT plug in place of a the purge solenoid plug. A further note on this, plugging the evap purge connector, or IACV connector into the IAT sensor will result in a fried IAT sensor as soon as the key is turned to ON (II)

OP what IAT are you using and where is it located?

And the EVAP purge (sensor with 2 red wires), where is it's vacuum line connected to the engine?

I think you mean the Y8 manifold doesn't have a spot for it. IIRC the Z6 has it located on one of the runners, like the rest of the OBDI engines. I could be wrong I'm kinda out of practice...
