with my sohc zc in my 91 crx dx right now on dx ecu dx fuel injection dx harness and dx headers what should i be running on street tires? actually all season tires lol. and what times should i expect if i finish this : stock zc headers, mpfi swap, radials or street tires,2.5 inch catback and si ecu and tranny can u guys estimate the times on both setups? from your experiences. Thanks in advance- Timmay!!

on a good day, at a good track, you'll be expecting to do mid 16's with the first setup, the second one, you'd probably do low 16's high 15's.

this is so pathetic. if the dx is carbed, run some side draft mikuni's on that mug!!! won't have to see some horrible 16 second time slips then!

If you were to run your car at LACR (palmdale, ca) you would get horrible times because of the elevation and track conditions, etc. These people go to good tracks, or as some people say, their motors are "wednesday" motors. lol

Dude. he hasn't even done the MPFI swap yet... which leads me to think he just bolted his DX Intake Manifold and stuff to the ZC... jesus... what a waste of a motor, its not even going to be much faster then the regular DX engine...

Uggh...

Unless you put a buttload of work into a sohc ...dont expect anything super fast. Granted you can build one for the price of a swap..and be pretty fast. But you will be running at 90% of what that engine can handle. There are guys running 10's on sohc. But if you want to get into the low 14s, or lower...expect to blow those things up

The first step is switching to mpfi. That dual point fuel injection is going to get you nowhere. Most people have a good amount of mods to get the sohc zc into the 14's or you could just do it the easy way with the bottle...
