Icon3 Finally my 1st build!! aka 98 EJ8 jane

So i finally started a build thread. I was always into integras i owned 2 black DA9s but never really built them and 1 95 SE DC4 all stock but if i wanted a civic has 2 have a sunroof and power everything also a 96+ civic so i got this 98 automatic EX with 110,512 original miles, running, girl owned, clean title everything works besides the power locks. I got it for you ready $800! nut with a bad headgasket it starts up but coolant mixture in the oil and trys to overheat. She told me right when she seen the white smoke and trying to over heat she parked it for 2 months in the backyard to repair it but her husband got her a BMW haha. It doesnt have much rust on it and it's very minor surface rust but the interior is very clean. My bro DIRTYDA9 was like not a teggy but even better a EK coupe and REEDMANN was like nice. Now for the pics:

Her ugly side you can see the rust,in dents and scratches on the driverside door, quarter panel, wheel well and hood.

Original D16Y8

DAm that's low she even left me a full tank how sweet

That camaro green 00 DX coupe is my best friends car which i helped him build it. It's B series swapped that's him by the way.

KIDS DON"T TRY THIS AT HOME What a sexy tow truck lol but we only hauled it like this for 10 miles through the dead backroads just to get under a 100 miles so my friend that owns a tow truck company charge me cheap so my friends Ek coupe is fine we went only 40mph MAX.

Good find, good price. I have a auto to manual swap idea in my head as well, just not sure if it's worth it. Here in NY the parts are all very expensive. Good luck with the build. Keep us posted.

I know thanks bro! and funny thing i got this coupe in NY lol!. Yeah parts are expensive over there that's why you order online or out of state like NJ. It's worth it bro trust me usually to find a clean honda now days has to be auto. As well as you automatically got a kill switch you can take inside your house which is the automatic plug that still stays in there unless you convert it totally to manual even the dash harness etc.

Little bit of work and she could pretty.

I towed a civic with my civic. Got pulled over for it, and the cop just laughed and sent us on our way.

Good luck!!

Really now haha that is a very nice officer even more funnier. My best friend was worried sh!*tless about the cops pulling us over, but we took the backroads we know not many people even pass on but it was very brieff towing it with his B series swapped 00 DX so my other friend charges cheaper with his towing company cause it's under 100 miles. Thanks man it's a lot cleaner then some civics and integras i've seen in my lil heck town lol.

Yeah, he was very cool. It was like 3am. He was more then likely just bored, and supirsed to see us coming down the raod.

We were only doing about 15mph. lol

Most of the cars with issues and cleaner then the ones without. Honestly it's sad.

haha. In my experience, if your cool with the cop he'll be cool with you...

It was like,
Cop: hi, so uh what are you doing?
me: toweing a car sir.
Cop: this doesn't look like a tow truck to me.
Me: you'd be suprised, but she doubles as a tow truck.
Cop: "laughing" son, what in the hell"
Me: just dragging it a few miles back to my house to save my buddy some money.
Cop: oh, ok. I'm sure you'd need a flat bed. so are you guys clean?"
Me: yeah, he would. Yep. we're totaly clean, insurance and all"
Cop: while laughing, ok just get this home safely, please."
Me: Definetly, have a good night officer.

The second time in my life I have been let go and I've been pulled over A LOT.

Knowing cops/being "Freindly" with them is the best.

My lastest was 49 in a 25, (really supid mistake) and it turned out to be a HS friend of mine's father.
I did a lot of stupid **** in HS, but I learned my lesson.

(making a quick appearance then Ima go back to being dead like my project) I must admit when you first told me a long time ago what you wanted to do with the DC, I was like cool deal. Then you kinda flippflopped thru some goals and ended up with this and I was like, ok, at least its a start. And a driveable car lol. So with all things being said, it is in fact a great start. Make sure you go thru with it homie
