95 civic ex...more wiring issues.
I put a brand new starter on my z6 last weekend. cranked over just fine and ran like it never ran before. the next day i started it with the hood open to just listen around for a few. i noticed smoke trailing up from the alternator. i shut it down and noticed the prong that sends power to the alternator was touching the alternator itself. i disconnected the battery, loosened the nut and turned it to where it wouldnt touch anymore. connected the battery and tried to start it and there was nothing to be had. the battery works, (fan is wired to a switch). i took a test light to the box under the hood and the only time it light up was for "battery". nothing else like ignition or anything like that would light up. the relays look brand new, looked thru the sight glass and they were all fine.
I need some guidance on where to go next as far as correcting this issue goes. the clutch is going out in my other car and i'm stressed to the max. any suggestions are greatly appreciated. thanks.
