This morning i purchased a 1997 civic ex with a gsr swap in it. the car has a b18c1 in it. After driving for the day i cruised off the freeway shut it off and 2 minutes later i fired it back up to find massive amounts of white smoke coming from the exhaust. it looks like the coolant tank had oil in it and it and could see oil on the inside of my exhaust. I came to the conclusion it is most likely a blown head gasket but does anyone think anything else could be an issue? thanks

 

sounds like the head gasket to me as well. have you already drained the radiator to check for oil?

 

Do a compression test as well. Also you can remove the spark plugs and check those as well.

 

Checked everything and it is the head gasket. Disappointing a car I have for a few hours has to break. Oh well

How do you miss something like that? Did you inspect it before you bought it? Test drive?
