i didnt know how sensitive the inside of it was where the hoses connect. im trying to clean it.

 

It should not be exposed to any kind of moisture,what you can do is if its off the car use a couple cans of brake clean,and then compressed air to dry it off,you wonna make sure clean fluid comes out the other end so you know its properly cleaned.

 

Use A/C solvent from a parts store and compressed air. You do not want to put any A/C component near water or a humid environment.

Use a vacuum pump after installation to boil off any cleaner still in the system, and recharge.
