03 over heat issue
hey guys, just looking for some inputs on what my issue might be.
2003 2 door civic ex, auto trans, bone stock 186k on the car. had the timing belt and water pump replaced at 100k and 160k.
when i am doing normal driving around town the car is fine. the issue is when i sit at a light for more then 3 or 4 minutes the temp gauge starts going up slowly. the same happens if im doing free way driving for a while and when i pull off and am stopped at a light for more then like a minute the car starts heating up.
if i start driving and blast the ac the temp goes down on its own. the car doesnt blow any smoke and i dont see any coolant leaking from anywhere.
anyone know what the issue may be? water pump etc

It's a good thing you started a new thread for this. After all, no one else could possibly have experienced the same thing.
Here.. read this..

That covers nearly everything. If not, trying utilizing the Search feature and look for things with "overheating" in the titles. A myriad of threads about overheating can be found. Good luck!

ok so back in august after posting this thread me and mu buddy ended up replacing the head gasket, timing belt, water pump, thermostat etc because the head gasket was blown. i had the head pressure tested to check it and it was good. now 5 months later, the car is low on coolant and got hot today. didnt hit get close to the h, but now im trying to figure out what to do now. i didnt notice any leaks back in august, not gonna lie i haven't been checking on it much through the winter. I am stuck as to what it cold be now -_-
Can post in the link from above so that all info is consolidated in one place...? it makes it easier for future questions to be answered. when you post, i will reply.
