Has anyone ever thought about swapping in the K20/24 in a 97-01 CRV?

Just curious if anyone has done any research regarding what's involved and if it's worth it. There seems to be an abundance of these motors where I'm at for fairly cheap, and if the swap is similar to swapping a K-serious into a civic/teg then I'd rather do that vs building up another B-series motor.
its exactly the same as a k swap into a civic. cost/effect just isnt worth it in my opinion. Maybe when the motors are worth nothing like B series it'll be worth it. Idk if the AWD tranny from a newer V with a k series will line up right. Would likely have to make custom tranny mounts for that. If you can afford the parts knowing that it may or may not work, id say give it a shot. I have a parts V that im pulling the motor out of when i get the time. I can do any measurements that you want if youd like.

That would definitely help, thanks LD! The only thing is, I want to keep my AWD since winters here suck in MN. If I can't keep that, then it's definitely not worth doing and I'll just continue building my B18c/Frankenstein motor setup(B18c1 motor with LS crank/rods).
I though about that project also since I have a spare k24 , u can do the swap n use the tranny of the 02 up crv since is awd with a kserie iqbal the element sorry for my poor English but I try .

for bragging rights its a good proj. but efficiency and costing.... imo its not worth!
ive almost done it in my spare V also a j series swap, but a crv isnt just like a civic that you
can sacrifice removing a component, you still want that ac/ps/rt4wd with that in question
why
not just get a 2nd gen, right?? not unless you have a full swap from a donor vehicle that you
can salvage some part then ill go for it! its cheaper to match or go beyond the power and
efficiency of a boosted B series over a stock K series... jm2c!
but if you guys wannna go for the proj. keep us updated and good luck!!!! i sure wanna see
this and give props!

unless it's just for show/bragging rights. but no one has gone that far...
...yet
Best swap, but fwd only, is the s2k motor with a k series tranny. Hasnet been done yet, wont sacrifice anything except the crap realtime awd
^^
F2K!! ive seen several drag civic w/ that.... i bit more on the extreme side compared to just
a K swap! i bet that swap will be a good track(road course) car since s2k were mostly built

i've pretty much decided that my 5 year plan will be to trash everything but the body panels and go with a rwd setup. vq? ls? idk, but if i'm going to put that much more into fab than i already have, i can almost guarantee it to not be any sort of mediocre honda engine.
probably talking to myself, but if not this thread is now the "off-topic where are you going with your crv? what are you thinking?"
