Default Has anyone ever swapped the three popular vtec heads to see exactly hp differences?

I have all three heads sitting around in my garage. The rsx k20a2 type s head complete, a k24a2 tsx head comlpete, and a K20z3 civic Si head complete.

I wonder if anyone has done an actual swap on a block with each head to really see what performance advantage there is between each....all other things being equal.

Feedback would be awesome!!! thanks in advance

The heads are basically the same...its the cams that are different, at least between the A2 and Z1 and the Z3.

The TSX cams are identical to one of those heads i believe, im just not certain which one.

negative. k20z3/z1/a2 all day 50 degrees or RBB's 30 degrees of advancing fun.

The A2 (PRC/B) head is the better one, the TSX (RBB) head is very similar to the Civic Si (RBC) head in flow characteristics and are both good heads in their own right, however the A2 flows slightly better IIRC.

actually RSP>PRB>RBC>RBB

credit goes to luke from 4piston for this

dyno test RSP ('08 type r) VS RBB (tsx) on a 12.5cr k24, IPS KME, RRC, DTR header, 60mm exh (original graphs can ge seen here) http://www.k20a.org/forum/showthread.php?t=107797

actually z3 & a2 share the same exhaust cam
z1 & type r are the same (some with a slightly different centerline)
z1 intake & '06+ tsx share the same secondary vtec lobe
'04-05 tsx & 06+ tsx share the same exhaust cam
