Default Flywheel Issue

So a while back my car had problems and thanks to this forum I was able to identify the problem with my car. I found that my flywheel was "broke". The teeth on the flywheel are spinning and the gears do not. Meaning the weld or screws that hold the teeth on the flywheel have come undone. My question is, first am I right, and second what do I need to buy to fix this and should I do pressure plate and flywheel or do can I fix the part? Thanks again for any help because of this web site I was able to figure this much out.

If the clutch hasn't been changed in a while, it's best to replace it along with the REAR MAIN SEAL (located behind the flywheel).

Assuming your assumption is correct, you need to replace the flywheel. Don't try to "reattach" the starter gear ring to it.

Fidanza OEM replacement, or if you want to get fancy you can go with a lightened flywheel. Keep in mind though, the lightened flywheel will affect driveability. Assuming the engine is unmodified or only lightly modified, an OEM replacement or Organic clutch would also do just fine for you. http://www.clutchflywheel.com has the best prices I've found, and great customer service. Call them, tell them what you have, and they'll be able to set you straight.
