Are TenzoR racing seats any good? (pic inside)
I know someone who had them in his hatch. The cloth where your *** is (when u drag against it getting in and out of the car) lasted about 3 months before it was worn down and was falling apart.
if you are like me and like to be comfortable but don't need the colors and all, get some good seat covers and VOILA! some good racing seats for 400 bucks
I have a Sparco Speed, and I'm second owner. Original owner "commuted" from 909 Riverside to Vegas.....so he got sick of them and sold it to me "cheap". So far it's in good condition. I still haven't installed it in the accord yet, it was in my Mk3 Jetta.....
To get back on topic, try to get a good name seat like Sparco or I would say (if you have the fundage)..go with some JDM Recaros. Those are TIIIGHT

In my experience you really get what you pay for in seats. Why not look into Corbeau's?
My Forza was $250 shipped and comparing Corbeau to TenzoR the quality seems much better with Corbeau.

Hmm..I never even thought about the fact that seats are crash tested. Sorry to be so ignorant but how could a chair kill you because it wasn't crash tested right? And which companies crash test their racing seats?
I have Corbeau A4's in my Mustang... personally I dont like them much (too small for my large american car), but they are nice and havnt worn out. For a basic reclining Corbeau like that I paid about 390 pr seat + 125 per side for rails.
I have a corbeau Targa RS, and i love it. I paid $400 shipped 1 seat and rail. Screw the passenger they don't need a race seat
Anyways, unless you are large or have a harness that seat is dangerous. IF you are skinny like myself, the sides of the seat will hold the seatbelt off of your lap, so if you get in a wreck your body will fly forward till you catch the seatbelt. The Targa RS I have is cut down on the sides to be used w/ the stock seatbelt.

DONT get the Tenzo Rally style seats. TRUST me, I sold/installed them for customers at my shop. Not only do they wear fast, they are uncomfortable/hard to get in/out of due to the high sides. However, the Type R style seats are great, the fabric is tweed so it lasts longer, very comfortable, and are designed straight off of the ITR seats. (these are more money however)
Where did you get your Corbeau's and how do you like them? Was the $250 shipped including the rails?
Great customer service. A nice race accessories site.
buying one seat is kinda ghetto to me
I often have passengers when i opentrack though.. (instructors etc) and they wouldnt much appreciate a stock seat with no bolstering. thats why i bought my pair..
i got mine through http://www.apexperformance.net/
he claims he will beat ANYONES PRICE... he certainly did for me a year ago.

what i bought.. would be right at home in a small Accord/Civic. maybe i'll buy some Recaro SRD's and move these to my Accord someday.

Heh, stock Mustang GT seats are REALLY BAD.. they are like a flat board. 5th gen Accord seats have way better bolstering. It was especially bad in my car because I had leather seats.
what are you guys doing for harnesses in your Accords?? I was thinking of making a strong-bar like i have in my stang that goes behind the front seats and connects to the floor pan (its removable). if you want a picture of what im talking about let me know... I hated stringing harness to the rear seatbelt supports.

sorry i dont have a pic of in the car, but thats what i use since i have no cage in the Ford.
Its pretty tough man.. it mounts to where the shoulder harnesses would normally be and to the floor where the lap belt coupler would normally be mounted.. the bar is HEAVY.. and very robust. it probobly wouldnt be too hard to design one for 92+ Accords without the electric seatbelts.

It's not about it coming undone, its flipping the car and being pinned by the harness w/ no cage to keep the roof from coming down and crushing you, stock seatbelts would allow your body to slide over if the roof caved in.
going over on your roof is a long shot tho IMO. many many things have to go wrong. im happy being protected for the 400 other things that will probobly happen. i do want a cage, but .. i mean i drive the car around the the street and climbing in/out of the car doesnt appeal much to me. not to mention cops dont appreciate that here.
