Icon6 NO POWER TO FUSE #8 4th gen civic EX why?!

Bought 1991 Honda Civic EX with no tail light harnesses. The Tail lights look like this:

Went to Scrapyard to buy new ‘91 harnesses: Only had LX harnesses The taillights on the LX look like this:

Harnesses worked perfect so I figured; no sweat to switch the two. Three bulb assembly for both, everything is the same but the connectors (LX connectors have an extra wire for Reverse light) and EX doesn’t have a wire for reverse. So I figured, rewire the power to the correct bulbs.

I cut off the female connector from my car (EX) power source exposing four wires,
Black silver stripe(negative)
Red silver black stripe (positive)
Green Silver blue stripe (blinker)
Green Brown White stripe (brake).

Cut the new LX harnesses from the Scrapyard off before the complete Male-Female connection so it exposed five wires
Black silver stripe(negative)
Red silver black stripe(positive)
Green silver white stripe (LX brake)
Green sliver blue stripe (blinker)
and the fifth wire Green silver black stripe(reverse light)

Connected red to red and black to black.

Since the blinker was the first bulb from the left on the LX harness but the second bulb from the left on my EX car I switched the configuration so my cars EX Green Silver blue stripe(blinker) Connected to the LX Green silver white stripe (second bulb, formerly the brake) Worked like a charm.

Then I connected my cars EX Green brown white stripe (Brake) to both the LX’s silver black stripe( formerly reverse light) Green sliver blue stripe (formerly blinker) everything worked great for a minute.

Then: Problem

THE PROBLEM
#8 Fuse (instrument lights tail lights Licence lights) blew (I’m assuming it accidentally grounded) HORN & BRAKE LIGHTS lose power and SHIFTER wont come out of park without key in override slot. No sweat, replace the fuse. Still nothing. Try another one. Still nothing. Test voltage of fuse port. !!!!!!!NO POWER!!!!!! . say: “ WTF worked a second ago”

Does anyone have any idea what might be happening?
