Page 2. Car was dropped off at the shop to start the swap (no pictures)
Page 3. Pictures of the CE's that I picked up for the car

The build car. 1989 Ef civic.. the body has just under 25,000 k's on it.

I'll be in for this one. Like you, i have a DC5 (which i am keeping), but i still have a car from my youth, a 1989 CRX Si, which i parked back in the year 2000. I'vce spent the last decade collection new and rare parts, still not done yet.
You are lucky, i am sure you will have access to some very cool items for that chassis, i can't wait to see!!! Good luck

You know I have thought about it and considering I have a K20 with a 6 speed transmission and a bad *** clutch laying around doing nothing.... Its the idea of no a/c and power steering that doesn't set well with me
I think the power steering is doable, but I think the hood has to be cut or something.
For now, its staying original

Well Gents, I have come to a cross road.. I went to look at and give the money for the car yesterday... after seeing it out in the open and after looking it over real good, here is what I found:
1. It had been hit in the rear and repaired, they did a OK job fixing it back and I don't think the damage went to the frame.
2. It also had 100,000 k's more than what I had thought (180,000 total).... the engine needs a rebuild... and the owner agreed.
3. It had bad sun damage, but I was expecting this.
The owner/garage wants to put in my K20 in the car and made me a reasonable deal for the labor charges.
While the ideal of a k20 swap sounds cool, I don't know if I want to go this route. What do you guys think.

If you don't mind the loss of ground clearance, I'd say go for it. A K20R in that light and nimble chassis would make a nice track monster if you stayed with it.
And on the bonus side, if the paint isn't in the best shape, you could always have it done the way you want!
I say go for it.

thanks for the opinions guys.
I personally don't want to k swap it... i told him to put the car on hold.
Tomorrow I'm going just a little north of Osaka to look at this car,
it is a one owned 89/90 civic, it has only 25,000 k's on the meter, it is a perfect b16 swap waiting to happen. If I like it, I'm buying it.

I'm getting ready to leave the house for a five hour drive to check it out, I hope it looks as good as it does in the pictures.
