1989 Civic Full Rebuild to K series
Well I guess its time I start this thread for myself to keep everybody updated on my build. I will include pics in the next few days about my current progress. I already stripped most of the car but I will update everybody on what I have done to this car since I got it. I'll try and be informative as possible.
I think I gotta wait a couple days before I start posting but I promise you guys it will be well worth the wait. I have a ton of pics when I first started building on it until now. Thats 6 years in the making. I decided I might as well share my trials and tribulations which I will.
Well I found a way to get a pics on here so I'll just put some of the begginning pics back in 2007 of when I first built the car. (This was when I first got into hondas and motor swaps.)

Here are a few progress pics of what I've done so far as of 2012.
Cleaning the engine bay sucks but I thought I'd finally do it.

Here are the brand new quarter welded on.

Here are the brand new quarter welded on.

The quarter panels were welded in using a MIG I did warp them kind of because of the extensive heat conducted from welding up the seams. Next time I will try a different method. They came out quite nice though.
Ok so I ended up doing a few things on the car yesterday because I was bored as ****. I decided to take apart the whole Suspension and fix the spot that I kind of messed up removing the passenger side mount.

Suspension Removed

This will get prepped and refinished for later on. I welded in a few of the whole. I used etching primer to prevent rust over the winter.

This needs to be reinforced so a few things will be getting done to it.

Heres the plate that will be used to cover up the damage caused by removing the passenger side mount.

More suspension dropped.

More welding on the frame. Grandpa needed to reinforce the frame as he saw fit. He likes to use acetylene so it doesen't come out looking pretty but its his favorite.

Well there was a lot more holes to seal in the bay so we finished it off yesterday. Didn't get to finish all the holes but I got most of the big ones. I'm definetly going to tuck everything on the bay. (Wiring, Fuel Lines, Brake Lines.)
Here are the updated photos.

I do wish I was a baller lol but I work a Mediocre job.
More updates tomorrow. I did a few things more but the camera had died.
I'll take pics of the frame reinforcement that was done under the car. I can basically jack the car anywhere now. lol

This is back in June 2012. This was the beginning of doing the rocker panels and quarter panels. A lot of cutting out of rust was done. I'm trying to make sure I don't have to chop this car apart again.
