Default JDM headlight Q

Recently got a great set of 1 piece headlights. Going to change
a few things and polish them up.

Whats the best way to pull the units apart without breaking stuff.
I have already removed the metal clips and undone the plastic ones.
Any advice on the best way to go about breaking the seal and
separating the two pieces would be great.

Take your bulbs out FIRST! Use the oven method to remove the headlight lenses: Preheat oven to 200 degrees, then turn it off, put a cotton towel in the oven and set the headlights (one at a time) on the towel..close oven, leave them in 7-9 minutes…remove them and then using a flat head screwdriver, pop the clips loose as you pry the lense away from the black housing and the sealant should stretch…cut the sealant emediately with a sharp knife as it comes apart

Thanks guys. I thought the oven would probably be the only
way to do it. I used the oven to disassemble my tail lights
a few years ago, so i should be right with the headlights.
Its just fn scary cause i dont wont to f them. Anyway should
be right, will post up some pics when i get the job done.
