Icon2 ground control suspension questions.

have a 98 civic dx coupe.

i have 205-40zr17 tires which equate to the same as stock height, and the wheels i beleive have a +40 offset. i want to lower the car enough to tuck the tires a little but i dont realy think i want it crazy like flush with the bead of the wheel but i want like half an inch to 2in of tire under the fender.

1) will the coilovers go that low

2) what spring rate would be good for that height as a daily driver. go-kart feel is cool with me but i dont want to bite my tongue on bumps or brake my neck ya know.

the standard ones i was told where 380 FR/280 REAR but when i googled what most ppl where running they went stiffer in the rear than in the front and they where 380-500 sping rate.

ya i dont think id go quite that low but i definatly want a little tire under the fender.

yall think 450 front 550 rear would work that seams to be a realy realy comon setup from what iv been reading on a lot of sights.

but theres still a few that say 550-600 minimum front and rear but i dont know if there extremists or trying to be funny or if its true or not.

550F/450R should be plenty stiff.

Indeed, higher rates in the rear promotes major turn-in and oversteer you might not be comfortable with or know how to handle.
