Default Deep tone muffler wanted

I have a 94 civic ex and want to put a muffler on it that will give it a nice deep tone without all the farting and isn't very loud, but don't want to spend alot on it, what kind of mufflers should I look at?

I love my Greddy EvoII exhaust...alittle on the fart can as far as size but nice deep quiet tone and sounds so sweet at WOT. Good luck on your search.

Check out YouTube. There's hundreds of exhaust systems out there!

custom 18" or 20" magnaflow resonator and vibrant or magnaflow muffler is my choice.

correct me if im wrong but arnt most import mufflers just big'ol glasspacks and they ALL sound like fart mufflers unless you go headers and all new exhaust?

and a resonator makes a difference to i dont know if its a good one or a bad one though.

to answer OP question... skunk2 mufflers are deep tone but most are pretty loud though.

A resonator will eliminate some of the raspyness of the exhaust.

I have a twin loop muffler on my Civic and it has a nice deep tone to it.

I'll buy into this theory. Used a couple of them in my time.

In my opinion a tube is a tube. doesnt matter if that tube says skunk2, tanabe, or just a basic tubing kit.

a skunk2 2.5" tube isnt going to flow any better then a generic 2.5" mandrel bent tube.

The resonators and mufflers are there for noise control. http://www.nsxprime.com/FAQ/Miscella...austtheory.htm

i had greddy evo2 on my old si and it was NICE! i really liked the way it sounded and it wasnt overly loud.

i am going to "experiment" with some stock mufflers and try them out on my civic soon.

^^

I used to like vibrant when they 1st started out. prices were on par with magnaflow..

now that they have developed their name around the import scene, the price has jumped 30%. Their flat black stealth mufflers used to be around 79.00 a few years back.. now theyre 119+

Which is why i went with magnaflow. prices have stayed the same and they have proven results.

my worthless .02
