i found a website online
that sells autometer branded knockoff guages
and i know the quality will be much less
but for example i have an eg hatch with no tach
that site sells "autometer sport comp II" tachometers for $72 shipped!
thats like $200 cheaper than the real thing
and i mean it looks legit i wonder if they work decent?
i mean autozone a cheap sunpro tach is $40-80
and thats no shift light no memmory function anything like that?

also they are cheaper with quantity if you get 4-5 on one order their $65 shipped
i know i'll probably get flamed for this post but just wonderin

Sport Comp II are right at $200. I will put money down that it will cost you more in the end when the knock off breaks and you ended up having to get the real deal. Save up and get a brand that is trusted. Gauges are the life line of your motor and lets you know what is going on with it.

Would you buy a knock off pace maker for your dad just to save a few bucks and risk his life??? Same thing in my opinion. As you said get ready to be flamed!!!!

 

agreed. i run nothing but auto meters. never had bad luck. totally worth the price!
