Default experiences with cheap coilovers?

alright i don't think i'm going to have the money for a while to get the Ground Control's that i want, and my Eibach sportlines are bouncey as hell...even after putting in Tokico blues.

So does anyone recommend and cheap coilovers? i hear a lot of stuff about slipping and uneven lowering(<already have that with EibacH) but there has to be something out there that is somewhat stiff and decent....let me know.

Hmmm... I have not heard these problems with Eibach.

Try Tokico Illuminas.. GC uses Eibach springs.

What's so great about GC's? I just took them out of my HB last night. I didn't like them. Does anyone know what is a good spring rate for these GC's on a HB with B16, front and back?

Ive had cheap coils..bla. Unless your going to be raising and lowering it on 'track weekends' why would you bother with an adjustable coil? I can kinda understand if its a winter thing. My 90 has H&R sports and Tociko 5-ways. Granted on bumpy roads..its a bit bumpy..but its a lot better than a coil over nock-off. Unless you get a full coilover (e.g. Tein, progressive, mugen ) Youre not going to find a better ride than a spring. I dont know any serious racers that use cheap coilovers. And..if youre just going for a 'slammed' look...suck it up, because it wont get any better.

The most commonly used suspension setup for Solo 1 and 2 is GC because you can get different spring rates easily. I think if you get some cheap coilovers like fake GC you can use the Eibach Race Springs if your not happy with the spring rates they came with.
The reason your springs are bouncy is because you have blues on them. A friend of mine uses KYB AGXs and they're great.

i'll be running GC's with 550 lb front and 600lb rear springs... but i race, so that's why i use them.. coilovers should NOT give a better ride than most springs.. reason:

coilovers are linear springs... one rate, all the time
most springs are progressive.... they get stiffer as they are compressed..

I currently have Sprint RX and it's not that bouncy.
It just really stiff.

i liked my sprint coilovers, hate my current maxspeeds. my old setup owns, tokico 5 way illuminas with sprint coils. handled too good for conditions, thus my name, wreckedhatch. haha

ive got Intrax sports lowering springs and it rides way better than coilovers. But talkin about cheap coilovers, some of my friends road on Number #1 coilovers and its pretty good (not as bouncy) and some of them are riding on Hpc and Apc coils (bouncy azz shizz). So, i think if you want to ride on cheap coils, Number 1 coilovers should be your best bet
