Default Need .2 in the 1/4 in my EG

Next month i'm running the 1/4 for the last time this season. Chances are the last time for this setup..

92 VX hatch
Stock JDM B16 sir2/hydro tranny
AEM CAI
Greddy SP/no cat
DC 4-1
14" 205/55 Nitto DR's

On street tires not stripped in 90 degree heat it ran a 14.4 with a 9.3 @ 76 1/8th. Now in the 1/8th with DR's and stripped it runs 9.1's @ 78. So i'm guessing i'm at 14.2 now maybe better.

Everything from the front seats back will be stripped. Passenger side seat and Center console will be gone. Car has no a/c or PS. Wiper fluid res. is gone. Car still has stereo and two door speakers.

I want to run a 13.9 but i'm looking for a way to get another .2 out of the car without any more investment. I've done about everything I can, i'm just wondering if I missed something or if anyone has any ideas?

You can try a lower tire pressure and that's no investment at all.

I'm in the sticks of KY and the only honda actually running a DR so I doubt I can find a set of slicks to bolt on. I weigh 150lbs and the car is pretty much stripped. I could get another 20lbs maybe with some door panels and rear seatbelts but I'm not sure it would make up enough to go through with it.

borrow a zex or dry nos kit. They can be installed in less than an hour.

If your track allows it, try running with an open header. That may give you a bit better time...

The track is about 2 hours away so I most likely will leave the exhaust hooked up since it will be too cold to get under the car to drop it. I would do a Zex but I wanted to see if I could do 13's on a stock all motor B16 w/bolt-on's. I may get a light and advance the timing a bit.

Those are some sweet times by the way...good drivin'!

You could try some more weight reduction...airbags and cpu, if any...firewall mat, sound deadening, carpet, headliner. Borrow a friends 1 piece racing seat...they are about half the weight of a regular seat.

You could also bring a toolset to the track and take off the bumper supports, etc before you race. Not a good idea to drive on the street without these though.

Good luck dude!

when you get to the track unbolt the cat from the header, move the cat to the side and rebolt the left side of the cat to the right side of the header. it only takes a few minutes.

Unbolt your exhaust and remove your rear bumper support and cover.

I'll take off the rear muffler, forgot about doing that. Plus it will be alot easier Tank is always close to empty when I run.

I can work on my 60ft time though. My best has been 2.111 on nitto drag radials and I know I can get a 2.0 out of em on a good track. And yes i'm running at Beech bend in Bowling Green. We plan on going Nov. 9th I believe so if you plan on going let me know. Who was the guy in the cx? It wasn't Darksubrosa was it?

Drink a bottle of X-lax and take a huge **** before you run should drop atleast 5 or 6 pounds. OR take all the sound materail off the (aka tar) on the floor of the car.

I'll take the tar out over taking a hour long squirt festival. Especially since I have nothing to read

It took me a long time to find some drag radials so it's gonna be a while before I get some slicks.
