first, my setup:
D16A6, rebuilt with head work including 3-angle valve job, port and
polish, and .020 shaved head, JG throttle body with a port matched intake
manifold, 3" diameter intake with cone filter, B&M adjustable FPR with
gauge.
A few intermitant problems I am having are:
1. I'm suffering symptoms of what seems like a bad EACV...when I put the
car in neutral and the RPMs drop, it has a tenancy to drop really low and
stumble or sometimes even stall. I've cleaned the EACV and i've tried a
second one, but i'm still getting the symptoms.
2. Sometimes at part throttle (not sure of the RPMs or if this is an RPM
dependant problem) when cruising along at a steady spead, i'll give it gas
to accelerate and it stumbles and hesitates (jerky to the point where the
passenger would notice), but after a couple of seconds it clears up and
I'm fine. Very intermitant problem, and can't make it do it on command.
3. Air fuel gauge...hooked up properly, but tends to not go rich. After
car is warmed up, even under full throttle, I can't get the gauge to go
above stoich more than 1 bar. The gauge tends to fluctuate just below
stoich under normal driving conditions, and the only time it goes to rich
is when i let it idle for more than a few minutes.
I have the fuel pressure set at around 40psi at idle.
My thoughts are that i'm not getting enough fuel, but i've got the
pressure up high enough...maybe my fuel maps are inproper for the head
work and air flow that I have going through the head? What are all of
your thoughts? And please don't tell me to just go with a Teg ECU...give
explainations why.
Much appreciated,
Jesse R

Just go w/ a Teg ECU
Just kidding!! I'm curious myself to know. My HF is doing the same as I told you already so it may help me but I have different circumstances so may not help me. You are running a Honda O2 sensor, right? If no luck we'll get it into my garage for a day and see if we can diagnose it. Talk later.

man i am going through the same thing with a b18a if you find the prob let me know.. I am also throwing the code for air intake temp and I just replaced that sensor so I dont know what the prob is.
