Need real answer for a stance setup
Hey HT i have a turbo eg hatch that ive decided to go a little crazy with i was thinking 15x8 or 9 0 offset up front and 15x10 0 offset in rear, i already hAve a crx that is lowered with a few tasteful mods like gsr wheels and what not so i dont care about the negative feedback about y i want to go "hellaflush" lol but i have searched and researched for the past 6 months and i know what i have to do but basicaly my questions r what coilover will get me the lowest and maybe adjustable camber needed to look clean? Should i go k- sport or ground controls? What type of spring rates should i run ? And what type of camber arms will give me the most negative camber? I have researched a bunch but it gets really old going through hundreds of posts that have good questions that never really get a clear answer because everyones to worried about bashing eachother. If anyone could help me out i would greatly appreciate it, im ready to get this show onthe road.
Lol true but i just want to make sure i get the right parts, i dont want to order a bunch of stuff to find out i shoulda used the other one that woulda gave me more. So thats y im on here as a measure twice cut once type of deal
For Chrissakes! There is a long running slammed thread going on that would take two seconds to find. Anything that you would need to know is in that thread. Lemme know if I need to go back a couple of pages and find it for you.
How about list a budget while you're at it?
Why people keep posting the same inane questions on the same topic week after week is absolutely beyond me.

even so much as a 15x8 +20 bbs rs isn't going to be the same as an rs rebuilt to 15x8 +20 and is going to be a whole world of difference from some knock-off xxr ****. we could get you close, and share experiences.. but you gotta help yourself first
also, don't think for a second the ones that really look cool are daily driven. they are on air, or they dump the coils a block from whatever uber-cool meet they are going to.

what kills me is that it's always the same open-ended question that requires their own personal answer.
doesn't help that most are on a shoe-string budget too. that and a lot of hellaflush, minitruckin, hot rodding stuff is trial-and error. most of these guys are only at a bolt-on level. buy it, buy a different one, grind it some, weld on a different braket, sell it, buy a different one... yada yada.. they just aren't ready.
why am i so nice today? hmm.. must be the pork on the smoker!! woot!

Relax. I have searched countless threads some actually have bits of usefull info while the rest r filled with trash talk, if it pisses u off that bad then dont post but if u willing to be cool and help a fellow honda enthusiast out then awesome. Im willing to spend around 1000 on a decent coilover setup and any info on spring rates and advice to reach my goal, but until im sure about what im doing im not just gona hope it works so i will ask a few questions if im not getting the answers im lookig for. Sorry if i overlooked it.
Please don't tell me you've searched for 6 months and cannot find what you are looking for. You cannot find it because you're not looking.
This thread

has fifty-baJILlion slammed/stanced setups. I know FOR A FACT that there is at least one thread in any given Appearance forum here on H-T. There aren't many of them that you cannot find an answer to your tired questions. I know because I've read through pretty much all of them to see what the big deal was about destroying your car's drivability just to be able to impress your boys.
In six months all you've been able to come up with are the size/offset of the rims and maybe what coilover you think you need to get? C'mon.

Yes u r right i have searched for around 6 months i already told u i get the idea i have coilovers in mind ive pretty much have my whole setup in mind but i was asking honda techs opinions, maybe someone whos been there before and has 1st hand knowledge on this before i go dropping money and get flammed even more because somethings not right. I have a bagged s10 laying frame on 22's and i would of loved to have some guidance on that project before i jumped into that and ran into a million headaches, but now that i completed the truck i know how it works pretty well and can give advice based on what i have done. I have not done a crazy offset on my civic before maybe ive missed some info but im on here for help to complete a project. Maybe the question has been asked a million times before but so has every other question on this form. I was just looking for some reassurance jeeze lol
Maybe my post was missleading but what im trying to say is i hAve read Lots of threads about the whole stance topic but i guess im hoping to find a little more About setups on civics with with way more agressive stances. Ive seen alot of good looking cars that are slammed with very little fender pull and stance but the rear of my car will deffinatly be a task trying to fit a 15x10 0 offset just was exactly sure how much wheel well persuasion will be needed just a few tips. Not asking u to do the job for me lol u guys are harsh haha
Sounds like you're asking for your hand to be held to me. Posting for reassurance is not the same thing as asking for tech specific information.
anyways im trying to be more specific about what im looking for, im trying to run a 15x10 in the rear anyone with some intellegent input would help. if i cant get the help i wont loose sleep over it i was just hoping i could get on a website specifically for hondas and ask a few questions from some other cool honda dudes, instead i get bashed for asking a few questions that have been gone over with smaller offset wheels, thats great but thats their car not mine and i would just like to double check and make sure before i go dropping money that i have worked my *** off for because some honda guy sits on his high horse and bitches about everything and anybody that posts about anything, end rant.
1. with such a big offset in the rear will i have to play with spring rates or just ordering a set of K-sports work fine for my offset?
2. If any of you have put that kind of offset in the rear what in the fenderwell would i be looking at cutting/ or taking a hammer too.

there is no intelligent answer when you ask how to fit 15x10's on a honda. did you forget you drive a honda?
buy them, put them on, hammer **** accordingly. if you're this unsure of what needs to be done, why the hell dont you just buy something that will actually fit?
critical thinking, you dont have it.

thanks for your reply MonkeyMagic. i was just a little un sure where to start. I will get the wheels and tires, i have the front adjustable control arms and im on tein basics right now but i dont think they will go low enough, if they do then great but if not then im looking at the K-sport or the GC's and do what is necessary to get the wheels to fit then take it for a ride and stiffin it up if need be. sound about right? haha

x10 +0 is pretty crazy. good luck.
gc + koni is good because the springs are readily available. get the gc sleeves for the konis. and the koni yellows are shorter than stock.. so that helps.
yeah it doesnt fit but my s10 didnt lay frame on 22's until i made it do so and now i couldnt be happier with it, people have been pushing the limits of modification for a long time, people put swaps and turbos in their Hondas but they r still just hondas lol. ive had some rex's, sol and now my hatch i just wana switch it up.
