so i just bought a 2001 integra ls auto and it hesitates to start at first but my 3rd or 4th time it starts up perfectly i just change the fuel filter and spark plugs and im still having problems.
car drives fine but cant seem start the car the first time and it happen when i leave the sitting more then 10min
and when i do get to start the first time it look like it want to shut off but doesn't. and goes back to idling normal

 

install a fuel pressure gauge. see if the system holds residual pressure. residual line pressure should drop no more than 1psi per 30seconds. and to a maximum complete drop of 15psi
if pressure bleeds off any more than that, likely the fuel pump will need to be changed

 

try cycling the key on for 5 seconds right before you start. if the car starts right away, you know its a residual pressure issue
