1990 honda accord wont restart when its hot
my 1990 body but 1993 engine honda accord wont restart mostly on hot days. or after i have had the air conditioner on. when this happens i have to wait between 5 to 10 miniutes for it to start, i have been told its the ignition relay.
does anybody have any info on this issue?
i was told the sauter on the connection melts when the car is hot then i have to wait for it to coagulate before it will start ,
i dont know where this relay is or how difficult it is to change, or if this is really the problem,,
need help
thanks bluejay

It's most likely the main relay. It's located under your dash on the driver side and if you have cruise control you gotta remove the cruise control computer. Once you have it out you don't have to buy a new one. If you have a soldering iron you can open it up and look for hairline breaks or cracks in the solder. If you find some then just heat them up so it reforms and you can install it back and it should fix your problem! Good luck!
