95 gsr with obd2 ecu?
I have a 95 gsr boosted and i wanna go back to all motor. I have a virgin p72 obd2 ecu laying around and i wanted to know if this ecu will work or how can I make it work??
No you don't want to run OBD2. You'll have a variety of issues some of which are the following:
-you'll have to add an after cat O2 and wire it to the ECU, which requires welding in a bung
-you're car doesn't have the EVAP emissions controls the ECU will be looking for
-the OBD1 doesn't use a CKF sensor by the crank so you'd have to rig up that wiring
Looking on ebay OBD2 P72 go for $75-130. OBD1 P72 go for about the same, or you could pick up a P28 with a GSR basemap as well.
