Default b18 swap not starting with key

B18a1 first was okay when i installed it

after a while it was occasionaly not starting using the key, i would have to jump starter signal to straight power wire on the starter to get it to start.

So far i have
Cleaned the battery conections
checed fuse box conections clean and tight
Checked starter fuse - not blown
checked 50 amp ignition fuse - not blown
put a new ground from starter to firewall cleaned ground

still not starting......

Do you think this could be my starter the power wire inside not getting a signal to where it needs to?
Do i need a new starter?

i wanna figure it out before thursday because i am getting alignment and tires mounted and balanced i really dont want to be charged 20 dollars labor just for them to start my car. any help greatly appreciated.....

Thanks

Have you checked to see if the starter wire is giving 12v when you are turning the key to the start position?

when you try and start it is it just dead? Do you get a click sound or anything like that?

I checked for voltage at starter signal wire... it was about 11.2 to 11.4 volts is that a problem being short of 12 volts?

11 volts is enough to trip the starter. Are you consistently getting a signal when your turn the key? Has an alarm ever been installed in the car?

I would check the ignition switch to ensure it is functioning properly.

Check this website on how to do this.

I guarantee it's the ignition switch also.

If the ignition switch is fine, then also test the safety switch at the top of the clutch pedal and the rubber stopper that it presses on.
